  • HFH Under 7's Fund Raising Night.

    24hours ahead of the Junior season start the 'Widnes North Residents Association' will be holding a Fun Night to raise funds for the Halton Farnworth Hornets U7’s rugby team and the Asbestos Victims Support Group. The fun night starts at 7pm Saturday 3rd March 2012 at the Farnworth Sports & Social Club. The event includes Live Entertainment, Disco, Late Bar & Prize Raffles with many great prizes donated by local Widnes businesses including a Hotel stay/dinner for two for one lucky winner! Tickets are priced at £5.00 each and are available from the Luxor Tanning Studio - Derby Road. Tickets are limited to 150 so to avoid disappointment get your tickets early and support the HFH U7's.

  • HFH U13's - Pull A Truck

    CHORLEY PANTHERS will be holding a 'Pull A Truck' competition in March 2012. This is prior to the start of the new season.
    HFH U13's are invited to take part and raise money for the HFH Club through player sponsorship. At the same time, the players can have some great fun too! All NWC U13's have been invited to attend, with a trophy awarded for the fastest pull. It's £20 entry fee per team (i.e. £1 a player roughly). There will be other age group teams involved in the 'Pull A Truck' on the day but this invitation was aimed at the HFH U13's. The result of a merger in 2003 of two well known local Widnes rugby clubs - Halton "Hornets" [Est.1975] & "Farnworth" [Est.1977].

  • The Halton Farnworth Hornets (HFH) Club believes children have a right to have fun and be safe in the sport activities they, or their parents or careers choose.
  • The HFH Club also believe that parents have the right to know that the club or organisation to which they trust their children is safe.
  • The Halton Farnworth Hornets Club is a prime example of this type of quality sporting organisation.
  • Following guidelines laid down by the NSPCC FULL STOP Campaign and the by the National Governing Body of Rugby League, the HFH Club aim to make sport a safe and positive experience for children and young people.
  • The HFH Club believe that having someone to turn to is a vital step in safeguarding children and young people.
  • Ensuring that there is someone identified who is there to listen and understand what to do and who to contact is a vital element.
  • That's why the HFH Club have a Child Welfare Manager who has attended a "Safeguarding& Protecting Children" course and a "Time to Listen" course.
  • The HFH Club is also actively encouraging Team Coaches/Administrative Managers, etc, to attend a "Safeguarding & Protecting
    Children" course.
